Well I after trying the dynamic design I decided to try a different look again. It is like having more TV channels than you can watch, we never stay on one for too long. I have really been slacking on the post lately I guess it's because I have not been rock climbing, kayaking, snowboarding or biking lately. With this being said the weather will be getting better soon and it will be time to be on the rock as much as possible. Here are a few articles that I thought you might find interesting:

Well I have revamp the look of Earthoutside with a new dynamic view option. This should allow the view to pick the how they want the site to be formatted. I hope to continue updating the look and performance of the site. As always I will bring you the information for events around the area. Time To Revamp EarthOutside

Just like the rain changes the landscape of planet earth, I feel it is time for EarthOutside.com to have the rains of change pour on it. I have some new ideas and the direction I would like for it to go, however I have become stagnant on some creative aspects. With this being said I am asking my friends and followers for ideas and suggestions. Please feel free to to give your constructive criticisms and suggestions. If you have written content, pictures or videos that you would like to be featured please let me know.
I will be asking for help with other projects which I am working on for the future. These projects will be very positive and hopefully will result in making a change in people's lives, our environment and the places we enjoy the outdoors.

Well we have had some rainy weather here in middle Tennessee for the past couple of days. Generally I would find stuff to do inside, however today I went out and photographed a creek at a local park. This was the first time I experimented with the f-stop and aperture and I thought I would share with you the results. I would enjoy any and all input or suggestions you may have.

Well summer has came and gone and now we are in the beginning of autumn and I have been looking forward to this time of the year. For me I enjoy the cooler weather and getting outside to enjoy activities. There is something about being able to camp and not sweat your butt off. The lack of biting bugs and 100 percent humidity makes for a perfect day in the hammock.

So with this being said I have a few goals for the season:

Go Camping
Rock Climbing
Seasonal photography

Garden Of The Gods

I enjoy getting out and just driving so the end of August I drove over to the Garden of the Gods in southern Illinois. This is a beautiful area and it really helps to visualize that at one time this whole area was under water. The rock formations are amazing and the view is incredible. If you have never been there you should take time to hit the road and go check it out. While I was there I shot a short video so you could see just how nice the view is.

Lazy Days

Well it has been about two months since I started part-time retirement and I have done a lot. here recently though i have backed off my extra activities. So I have decided to get a little refuge in my back yard and hang my Eagle Nest hammock. I have scout the area and found two trees I fell will be the perfect spot.
I really feel we all should find a little solitude from everyday life to just unwind and clear our mind. It will do us all good to be able to reflect on the things that are important in our life. To be able to just get away from the days stress and be somewhere that take us to our "happy place". So why not get out and enjoy the EarthOutside and LIVE LIFE FULL!!

Well I recently picked up a Jackson Kayak Day Tripper 10 and got it all ready to hit the water this week. I will let everyone know what I think about the boat after the adventure. Well we had a great time on the water and as i thought the Daytripper 10 was awesome. This boat is super stable, I even tried to flip it by leaning over and it would not budge. If your are looking for a fun and very versatile kayak this is the one for you. Check out the video although it is for the Daytripper 12 Elite it has the same concept. I throw two thumbs up to the Jackson Kayak crew for developing yet another great kayak!!

Prerequisites for clinic:
It's helpful if you've read the The Rock Warrior's Way or Espresso Lessons, but it isn't absolutely necessary.
The camp seems to be best for those who have hit a plateau, experience frustration, fear, loss of motivation, or other mental fitness issues.
You DO need to know the fundamentals of knots, belaying, and basic climbing skills.
You DO NOT need to be able to lead climb to take the clinic.

Rotary Park

If you're looking for some good mountain bike trails, you should visit Rotary Park in Clarksville, Tennessee. This is a 60 acre public park that has one main road in and all the trails branch off this road. There are all levels of riding to choose from. The terrain consist of loose gravel, roots, hills, bridges, jumps and some moderate downhill sections. Some days you can go and not see anyone and other days it will be packed.

How to find the place:
Take exit 11 from I24 towards Clarksville. About a 1/4 mile past the first intersection (Madison St.) you will see a power station on the left. Take the small road to the left into Rotary Park. Park anywhere in the park. The trails are not marked very well so just follow a tree line to find a trail.
